willingness to die for our sins

Some say that Yeshua Moshiach did not willingly die for our sins because He talked with His Father in the garden of Gethsemane and wanted the death on the Cross to be taken away if the Father willed it, but that does not say Yeshua Moshiach did not want to die on the Cross, that is just an instance when the human part of Jesus was in agony even before the beatings and death on the Cross happened because He knew it was going to happen, and if a human does not willingly go to torture and cruel death that can not know about beforehand the pain and, ridicule, and suffering; why do people think Yeshua Moshiach could not have sorrow and agony beforehand when He knew exactly what was going to happen.

There are many verses before the events in the garden of Gethsemane that tell about Yeshua Moshiach willingness to die for our sins and even in the Garden He said He was willingly going to die, because He was going to do the will of the Father.

(29) “And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him.” (30) As He was speaking these words, many believed in Him.

Romans 5:6-11 The Scriptures 1998+ (6) For when we were still weak, Messiah in due time died for the wicked. (7) For one shall hardly die for a righteous one, though possibly for a good one someone would even have the courage to die. (8) But Elohim proves His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Messiah died for us. (10) For if, being enemies, we were restored to favour with Elohim through the death of His Son, much more, having been restored to favour, we shall be saved by His life. I have been reciting this passage for over forty years, yet it stirs me every time l read it. This passage is like a fountain bubbling over with water; every time you take a dip, there is more left than what you drew out. I preach from this passage all the year long and when l finish, the verse will still be crying,"Say more!"because it ate a before us principles to practice as we plan to prosper on our spiritual pilgrimage. Whenever you see the number 40 in the Bible, it indicates there is a period of probation, a period of testing, or a period of trails. This verse contain 40 words. The number 40 is scattered throughout the Old and New Testaments. Samuel, Solomon, and David each had a 40 years reign. Moses spent 40 years in Egypt, 40 years in Midian, and 40 

years in the wilderness. Jacob waited until he was 40 years old before he took a bride. Jonah went to Nineveh and gave the Ninevites a 40 day probation period to repent of their sins. Ezekiel lay on his right side 40 days as protest against Judah. Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness and afterward He was tempted by the devil. He died, rose, and spent another 40 days on the planet Earth before He caught the cloud to go back home. The verse begins with If; that is possibility. My people; that is personal. Which are call by my name; that's paternal. Shall humble themselves; that's preparation. Pray; that's Power. Seek my face; that's a privilege. Turn from their wicked ways; that's progress. Then will l hear from heaven; that's procedure. Forgive their sins; that's pardon. Heal their land; that's prosperity. Forty days, forty years, forty words packed into one verse.

John 6:8-11  Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up,

"Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?"

Jesus said, "Make the people sit down."

There was plenty of grass in that place, and the men sat down, about five thousand of them.

Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted.

He did the same with the fish. (NIV)
 

Andrew had found a little food; but rightly thought it would not feed 5,000 people.

So instead of seeing its value in the hands of Jesus, Andrew thought it was virtually useless.

But Jesus knew otherwise.

He got His disciples to seat the crowd on the grass in groups (Mark 6:40);

and they obeyed, even though they did not know what would happen next.

Then Jesus said the Jewish prayer of thanksgiving for the food

(Christians call this prayer before meals 'grace').

The next thing they knew was that Jesus was dividing the loaves and the fish,

multiplying them so that there was more than enough for everybody to eat.

It was a miracle: nobody knew how He did it, but all four gospel writers record what happened.

And we know it was not a parable because, later,

Jesus rebuked the crowd for simply looking for a free meal (John 6:26).

But Jesus intended the miracle to be more than humanitarian aid;

He wanted it to be a sign of His divine authority and life-giving power.

Naturally we cannot see further than what we know or possess.

Practically, our imagination is tethered by our experience or the experience of others.

But this miracle shows us that Jesus is not limited at all, because of who He is - the Son of God.

Jesus the Lord is able to do anything!

As 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you,

so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

Which is why the Apostle Paul writes,

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,

according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus

throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21)

As that is so, it is right to praise and worship Jesus, and trust Him to do His work

without placing human limitations on Him.

Prayer for the day : -

Almighty and most loving God.

Thank You that You are the only One who can create out of nothing, and greatly multiply what is very small.

Forgive me for doubting Your ability to provide and supply the strength to serve You.

Please help me to grow in faith, trusting that You will do whatever You have said;

and learning that You will provide for the growth of Your kingdom and

the needs of Your people according to Your faithfulness.

As  I kneel before You, I recognize You as the Creator of all life. I thank You and praise You for the life You granted me. You alone can give  me perfect and lasting peace. Help me to remain supple and calm in Your hands so that You may mold me into all that You intend me to be. I admit that most times I don't understand Your ways. But then, that's fine. Because I know it full well that  You will make all things work together for good. Impress upon me the necessity of complete obedience toward You without murmuring trusting in Your mercy and grace and providence.  Yahweh,  strengthen my faith in You and Your WORD that never fails. Let me stand on Your word for my breakthrough for my deliverance for the new thing that You are going to do for me because I believe. I stand on Your word and rebuke Satan in the name of my savior Jesus. His lies and his reports of gloom and doom, depression and doubt. Let me put on the full armor of God and fight the good fight of faith in love. You are indeed a Rewarder to those that diligently seek You. Bless me and answer  my prayers prayed in faith. So I may see what the Lord has done for me! Let Him be glorified. I pray in the name of Your son Jesus. Amen.

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient

to the point of death,even the death of the cross.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth,

and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2 : 8-11 ( NKJ )

Jesus, having all power and all authority, submitted His life to the authority of His Father.

He consistently responded under authority, pointing back to the Father.

The Father, in turn, rewarded His obedience and humility and exalted Him.

In our individualistic world, we try to avoid submission to authority.

There’s a Chinese saying: It’s better to be the head of a chicken than the tail of an ox.

We want to be our own boss; make our own decisions; answer to no one.

Truth is, we answer to the One.

Our act of saying yes, to make Jesus Lord of our life, is our primary act of submission.

From that day onward we keep bringing our lives and our decisions before Him,

acknowledging that there is One greater than we are.

It’s a relationship of submission, rooted in our understanding that the Father loves us even more than we can comprehend.

Jesus was no doormat, “He understood His worth” but His authority flowed out of a heart submitted to the Father.

In that place He had the power to heal the sick, raise the dead and transform lives.

That’s the place I want to live from today.

Prayer for the day : -

Father, thank You for loving me beyond my selfish human heart.

Thank You that submission to You is a safe, beautiful and even powerful place.

I submit my life to You today.

May I live my life in such a way that I am consistently pointing back to You.

" The God Who Feeds My Soul "

              " The God Who Feeds My Soul "

" I am the bread that gives life.” John 6:35

Bread is eaten daily.
Some fruits are available only in season.
Some drinks are made only at holidays.
Not so with bread.
And not so with Jesus.

He should be brought to our table every day.
We let him nourish our hearts, not just in certain months or on special events, but daily.

Bread can meet many needs.

So can Jesus.

He has a word for the lonely as well as for the popular.

He has help for the physically ill and the emotionally ill.

If your vision is clear, he can help you.

If your vision is cloudy, he can help you.

Jesus can meet each need.

Can you see why Jesus called himself the Bread of Life?

I can think of one other similarity.

Consider how bread is made.

Think about the process.

Wheat grows in the field, then it is cut down, winnowed, and ground into flour.

It passes through the fire of the oven and is then distributed around the world.

Only by this process does bread become bread.

Each step is essential.

Jesus grew up as a “small plant before the Lord” (Isaiah 53:2).

One of thousands in Israel.

Indistinguishable from the person down the street or the child in the next chair.

Had you seen him as a youngster, you wouldn’t have thought he was the Son of God.

He was just a boy. One of hundreds.

Like a staff of wheat in the wheat field.

But like wheat, he was cut down.

Like chaff he was pounded and beaten.

“He was wounded for the wrong we did; he was crushed for the evil we did” (Isaiah 53:5).

And like bread he passed through the fire.

On the cross he passed though the fire of God’s anger, not because of his sin, but because of ours.

“The Lord has put on him the punishment for all the evil we have done” (Isaiah 53:6).

Jesus experienced each part of the process of making bread: the growing, the pounding, the firing.

And just as each is necessary for bread, each was also necessary for Christ to become the bread of life.

“The Christ must suffer these things before he enters his glory” (Luke 24:26).

The next part of the process, the distribution, Christ leaves with us.

We are the distributors.

We can’t force people to eat the bread, but we can make sure they have it.

" God Helps The Helpless "

Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. Psalm 63:7.

I have had people tell me, “Pastor Prince, please pray for me.

I can’t see a way out of the mess I am in.

I know that this whole thing is my fault.

Right now, I don’t even know whether God will hear my prayers.”

If you think about it, a whole lot of our troubles are of our own making.

But it is when we deserve the punishment and not the blessing that we can receive grace —

the undeserved favor and unmerited help of God!

When we stop trying to be deserving of God’s help,

we find God more than willing to be our Savior.

But when we continue to try to work things out, we are trying to be our own saviors.

God will say, “Save yourself because I can’t help you when you don’t need My help.”

If you say, “My problem is that I am weak.”

God says, “That is not a problem. I am your strength.”

If you say, “Lord, my face is the problem. I am ugly.”

God says, “My face will shine on yours. I am your glory.”

If you say, “Lord, I am the problem.

I am a nobody.” God says, “I will make you a somebody.”

Unfortunately, many of us are still trying to help ourselves,
thinking that for certain matters, we don’t really need God.

But God says, “Without Me, you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
Do we really believe that?

Or do we believe that without Him, we can still do some things to help ourselves?

Only when we realize that we can do nothing,
and are nothing in and of ourselves,
can we do all things through Christ who strengthens us! (Philippians 4:13)

Then, we will see the undeserved, unmerited help and favor of God deliver us from every evil !

Heavenly Father, El- Shaddai, You are God Almighty. You are All Sufficient One. Everything comes from You.

Everything happens through You. Everything ends up in You. You sustain all.

You give to all. You have filled me and satisfied me with good things of every kind hitherto.

Your thoughts toward me are rooted in Your mercy and loving-kindnes. What can I give You back in return?

I can only humble myself and place my life in your hands.

Help me to be a faithful steward of all the blessings You have showered upon me.

Everything I have belongs to You alone.

Abba, Reach out to show me Your favor continually.

Lay Your hand upon me and espouse my cause. Make me an instrument to bring You glory.

Continue to be my trusted ally in all the battles I face.

Hold me with Your right hand and lead me to my possession You have ordained for me.

Make all the dried up areas in my life to blossom as a rose and bring forth abundant fruit.

Let Your voice shake every wilderness place in my life.

Open heavens for me and let Your dew drop upon my wilderness places.

Revive me, and repair every desolation in my life through the power of the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Redeem my lost years, wasted resources and wasted emotions & passions.

Rebuke the devourer for me. Quest the thirst of my soul by revealing more of You to me.

BLESSED SURGERY.

" Powerful Surgery "

Colossians 2:11-12.  In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature,
not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ,
having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God,
who raised him from the dead. (NIV) Circumcision of male children was done by Abraham and his descendents
in response to God's covenant (Genesis 17:1-14).

It marked each generation as those who were under God's authority and bound to obey His laws.

Circumcision was also a life-long sign that they were set apart,
cut out from the rest of humanity to serve the Lord,
to marry within His family and to raise children who would continue in the faith.

However, although the physical surgery left a permanent mark on the body,
it had no effect on changing the heart.
 
But faith in Jesus Christ is very different.

When we repent of our sins and accept His rule in our lives,
 He does not just give us a set of moral rules,
but He performs surgery on our hearts (the place of our deep desires, decisions and will).

We cannot get rid of our sinful nature by ourselves;
we need Christ to mark out all that has to go and gives us a desire to be cut free from it.

Our baptism is a sign that we accept His right to do this surgery on our hearts,
because we have put our faith in Him and we belong to Him.
 
Quite rightly, the Bible encourages us to cooperate with what Christ is doing in our hearts. But however much we discipline ourselves (and we need to),
the transformation of our lives is not achieved though our own initiative
or personal effort: it is the work of Christ.

Without Him we can do nothing of eternal value (John 15:5).

But as we allow His authority to operate in our lives we will see wonderful changes
which we could never have achieved by ourselves. It is those transformations of life and character which are the living testimony
to the power and grace of Christ.

Every piece of evidence that Christ is really at work changing lives
support the proclamation of the gospel,
giving others a desire to know how to put their faith in Jesus Christ.

So let Him do His work in you today.

Prayer for the day : - 

Father God.

I would like to be perfect and am so often disappointed in myself and my feeble -
heartedness along the paths of righteousness.

Thank You that Christ has not called me to obedience without giving me both the desire
to cooperate and the power to do what is right.

Help me to allow His surgical work to continue in my heart,
removing all that defaces Your glory until I see Him face to face.

It can work wonders.

It is caused by the vibrations of psychic Prana or
 Sukshma Prana on the mental substance. 
It is a force like gravitation, cohesion or repulsion.

ALLOW GOD TO WORK.

   " Allow God to work "

 

Colossians 3:15-16  Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom,
and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. (NIV)
There is no doubt that God is always at work (John 5:17).
He continues to sustain the universe He has created (Hebrews 1:3) and
is active in promoting good things for His people (Romans 8:28).

He is continually at work in every believer, motivating us to do what is good and
empowering us to achieve it (Philippians 2:13).

The question is, do we let Him work in our lives, and in the lives of other believers in the fellowship,
or do we get in the way, blocking His power and grace?
 
Paul commands, "Let the peace of Christ rule ... Let the Word of Christ dwell in you".
Without allowing Jesus the freedom to operate in your heart,
you will be little more than a religious legalist;
trying to do the best but lacking the wisdom or power.

When Christ is welcomed as King, He brings peace to those who obey Him.
When we meditate on His Word, we are led to see how God's trust can be applied in everyday situations
and we have the wisdom to teach others too.

When all that happens, we are liberated with a thankful heart to worship the Lord.
 
For many the busyness of life with its priorities and deadlines, relationships and
finance seems to forbid God to invade.
In fact, it is we who make those choices, and it is our hearts that de-prioritise our Saviour.

A calm analysis says that is stupid, and it is. If we lose sight of Christ who defines peace and brings peace,
we cannot be at peace with others.

If we are unsure what is right and wrong, we will always be worried and fearful before God;
whereas He wants us to be joyful with hearts full of worship.

So it is time to reassess the priorities of life. God first and everything else second!
Peace with God must be top of the objectives for every day along with a sober meditation of His Word.

The world will never encourage you to be right for heaven,
so make the choices which disable its veto on your right to be close to Christ.

Prayer for the day : -

Almighty God.

Thank You that I can have peace with You through the Lord Jesus Christ;
and that You have given me Your Word to show me how to live in peace with others.

Help me to allow You to bring peace to my life.
Help me to prioritise time to pray and think as I read Your Word.

Forgive me when I forget the priorities which really matter,
and when I allow the world to dictate my relationship with you.

In Jesus Name. Amen.
